You know, the kind of doughnuts my grandma used to make when I was a kid, a little fluffy but so delicious!
No yeast, just a quick knead, cut and fry.
They are savory and delicious when eaten alone, but when tossed in sugar syrup, they are moist and sweet.

Ingredients
- 1 Egg
- 60g Sugar
- 2g Salt
- 40g Milk
- 40g Melted unsalted butter
- 3g Vanilla extract
- 3g Baking soda
- 250g All-purpose flour
- 100g Sugar
- 100g Water
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt.
- Whisk in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
(You can also add all the ingredients from 1. and 2. at once and mix) - Add the baking soda and flour and mix with a spatula, then use your hands to form a ball.
- Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut diagonally into long strips (you can shape them however you like).
- Gather the remaining dough, roll it out again, and cut it into strips.
- When the oil is about 160 degrees, deep fry until browned.
- Add 1 part sugar and 1 part water to a saucepan and bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for about 2 minutes and remove from heat.
- Dip the fried doughnuts into the sugar syrup, toss, and serve.
