Lemon Drizzle Cake Recipe

Lemon Drizzle Cake is on the menu in Cooking Tree, and we are going to teach you how to make this delicious recipe from scratch!

I made a lemon drizzle cake filled with lemon syrup to make it crispy on the outside and moist on the inside!

I baked it in a small Gugelhof mold, and I sprinkled the juice of about one lemon on one cake~
Lemon zest is added to the cake dough to give it a lemony scent, but I think it’s a cake full of lemon flavor and flavor by sprinkling plenty of lemon syrup on it~^^

I made it not too sweet, but if you want it sweeter, you can make it by adding more sugar to the cake and lemon syrup~ Crispy on the outside and savory on the outside, and so moist on the inside.

It really is a cake that would be nice to have at tea time

Ingredients

  • 125g Unsalted butter
  • 70g Sugar
  • a pinch of Salt
  • 10g Lemon zest
  • 2 Egg
  • 125g Plain flour
  • 5g Baking powder
  • 65g Lemon juice
  • 30g Powdered sugar
  • Glaze (30g powdered sugar + 5ml lemon juice)

Instructions

  1. Soften butter, add sugar and salt, mix, then add lemon zest and mix.
  2. Add eggs one at a time and mix, then sift flour and baking powder and mix.
  3. Put the dough in a buttered mold and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes. After cooling, cut the bottom flat.
  4. Mix lemon juice and sugar powder to make lemon syrup.
  5. Poke a hole in the bottom of the cake with a fork, sprinkle with lemon syrup, then turn it over and garnish with glaze and lemon zest.
