Serves: 12 Prep Time: Cooking Time: Nutrition facts: 130 calories 18 grams fat

Ingredients

  • 60g Unsalted butter
  • 20g Dark brown sugar
  • 1g Salt
  • 150g Water
  • 100g All-purpose flour
  • 2 Eggs

  • 50g Milk couverture chocolate
  • 50g Whipping cream

  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon powder

Instructions

Make the Churros

  1. In a saucepan, bring the butter, brown sugar, salt, and water to a boil over medium-low heat.
  2. Once bubbling, remove from the heat and whisk in the flour.
  3. Return to low heat and stir to coat evenly (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Transfer to a bowl, spread out and leave to cool to lukewarm.
  5. In about 3 batches, beat the eggs, mix, and place in a squeeze bag.
(I used a small star pouch, but it doesn't have a lake on it)
  6. Squeeze the dough into a tree shape and freeze in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
  7. When the oil reaches a temperature of 180 degrees, deep fry them from front to back until golden brown.
  8. Let cool and then roll in cinnamon sugar.

Chocolate Sauce

  1. Heat the milk chocolate and whipping cream in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
  2. Mix evenly and serve in cups.
