Green tea chiffon cake (Matcha Cake)
Ingredients
- 64g Egg yolk
- 24g Sugar
- 1g Salt
- 52g Vegetable oil
- 70g Milk
- 4g Vanilla extract
- 72g Plain flour
- 8g Green tea powder
- 1g Baking Powder & Baking Soda
- 120g Egg whites
- 50g Sugar
Instructions
- Put egg yolk, sugar, and salt in a bowl and mix until the sugar dissolves to some extent.
- Pour in the oil little by little and mix, then pour in the milk slowly and mix evenly.
- Add vanilla extract and mix.
- Sift the powders and mix to form a smooth dough.
- Whip the egg whites in a bowl, and when large bubbles appear, add sugar 2-3 times and whip them to make a hard and shiny meringue.
- Divide the meringue into the yolk dough by 1/3 and mix.
- After spraying enough water with a sprayer on the mold, pour in the dough and stir with chopsticks to remove air bubbles.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 170 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
- When finished, turn the mold over to cool completely.
