How to make Custard Cream

Custard Cream is on the menu in Cooking Tree, and we are going to teach you how to make this delicious recipe from scratch!

Today’s basic cream! I made custard cream ^^ It is often used to make various desserts such as chees, tarts, eclairs, etc. It’s delicious just spread on bread. There are many, so you can make a lot of them because they are used a lot.

*If you do not have a vanilla bean, use vanilla extract or vanilla essence. You are welcome to use it!

Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 200ml milk
  • 30 g sugar
  • 2/3 vanilla bean

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vanilla bean by cutting it in half and removing the seeds, pour the milk into a pot, put the vanilla bean, and simmer over low heat for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Put egg yolk and sugar in a bowl and mix until the color is light and thick, pour 1/2 of boiled milk and mix quickly.
  3. Put (2) in the milk in the pot and boil over medium heat, stirring continuously until it becomes thick.
  4. Transfer to a bowl, cover and cool in the refrigerator.

Notes

  1. When the cream on the spatula is drawn with your finger, if there is a line, you are done!!
