I made a crispy and moist honey waffle by coating it with sweet honey and baking it in the oven~

Put it in a mold, bake it, take it out, apply honey and bake it once more. The texture is crispy on the outside, and when eaten with honey, it is delicious as it adds moisture to it~^^

I think it’s more delicious because it’s soft by adding meringue, and slightly chewy by adding cornstarch.

The shape of the waffles and the color of the roasted waffles look really appetizing~

Honey Waffle

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 25g Melted unsalted butter
  • 3g Vanilla extract
  • 240g Milk
  • 100g Plain flour
  • 20g Corn starch
  • 3g Baking powder
  • 1g Baking soda
  • 1/8ts Salt
  • 1/8ts Cinnamon Powder
  • Meringue (1 egg white + 30g sugar)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a silicone mold with butter.
  2. Mix egg yolk, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract, then pour in the milk little by little and mix.
  3. Sift wheat flour, corn starch, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon powder and mix, then add the meringue and mix.
  4. Pour the dough into the mold and bake for about 25 minutes in an oven preheated to 190 degrees. Apply honey, sprinkle with cinnamon powder, and bake in an oven at 200 degrees for 5-7 minutes.
