I made chocolate scones with chocolate chips embedded in them~
I think it’s really simple and easy to make because it can be made quickly by mixing lightly.

I layered the dough in two layers and baked it thick, but I think it would be good to make it in various shapes~

The scone dough itself is not very sweet, but the chocolate chips are chewed sweetly in the middle to enhance the flavor.

Chocolate Chip Scone

Ingredients

  • 200g Cake flour
  • 20g Cocoa powder
  • 20g Sugar
  • 1g Salt
  • 5g Baking powder
  • 80g Cold unsalted butter
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 80g Milk
  • 80g Chocolate chip

Instructions

  1. Add cocoa powder to the soft flour and mix, add sugar, salt, and baking powder and mix, then add cold unsalted butter and mix as if cutting with a scraper.
  2. Add egg yolk and milk, mix to form a lump, add chocolate chips, mix, shape, wrap in plastic wrap, and rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Divide the dough and pan it in an oven pan. Apply a mixture of egg yolk and milk on the top and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20~22 minutes.
